The still standing mission
Natural disasters are part of the character of Australia, with rarely a year going by where as a nation we are not challenged by them. The Salvation Army has been privileged to meet many people in places all around this great nation who have been impacted. We acknowledge their courage, resilience and determination to not allow these events to define the future.
“Still Standing” is a website, and film which has been developed to provide you with information from experts who can assist you in the long term recovery from natural disasters.
These experts include other Australians who have suffered great loss, and recovered from previous natural disasters, as well as medical practitioners who specialise in disaster recovery.
We invite you to look through the website which also provides a place where you can share your own unique stories, insights and experiences with others. The website is dedicated and belongs to people who have suffered through natural disasters.
Finally, The Salvation Army is grateful to the millions of Australians who entrusted us with resources to share with those who have been so significantly affected by these natural disasters.
